For The Village Snail, each monthly mailing includes a letter from Scout the snail, original artwork (usually a coloring page or stickers!), a family connection card with an activity, a playlist, and a nature-themed surprise. The goal is to create a small pause in your busy days—a chance to come together, learn something new, and enjoy something fun! It’s called “snail mail” because it celebrates the slower pace of sending and receiving real mail—something simple, tangible, and personal in a world that can feel too fast and too digital.

The Village Snail goes out on the 10th of every month. Members should receive it within 3-8 days of sending.

I’m so glad you love the Village Snail! We created complementary mini unit studies to correspond to each month’s theme.
For example, if you sign up for July, your theme might be ‘water’ and you can get your ‘water’ themed letter from Scout and a unit study to learn all about water together! Visit the shop page for more info!

If your letter doesn’t arrive, email us at thevillagesnailclub@gmail.com and we’ll make it right—either by resending your letter or refunding you for the month.
Sometimes letters can bounce. I will wait until the end of the month to allow time for any returns, then resend them to you. We’ll also contact USPS on your behalf if a letter goes missing. And if all else fails, you’ll receive a refund for that month.
💌 If you sign up before the 10th of the month, you’ll receive that month’s letter. If you sign up after the 10th, your first letter will arrive the following month.
